What a pretty town Boppard is; not called the gem of the Rhine for nothing. We are staying in a campsite a couple of miles outside it and are literally feet away from the river bank. It is very hot again so a paddle is most welcome....

In what is fast becoming a bit of a habit (and now my favourite thing to do) we took another mode of transport up a hill - a chair lift - to see the Rhine from yet another perspective.
The area is popular with mountain bikers (though only those who like going down hill apparently) hence the adaptation to the lift.

It was a brilliant ride, so peaceful, and the views absolutely beautiful.
