Found this little guy lying in the middle of the car park, in the rain.  Obviously someone was hurrying for an appointment and dropped him on the way in, or out. 

His coat was wet, but clean, and his label has been washed so many times that the writing is invisible.  He is frayed which tells me that wee arms have held him tight every night, while falling asleep. 

I picked him up and sat him on this seat, in the hope that his family will see him on their way back to the car. 

I do hope he is not still there when I go back (or I'll have a real moral dilemma).

Update: he was gone when I got back!  Hurrah - I bet they were all relieved, and right now he will be sitting on top of a radiator, wrapped in a big fluffy towel, having had a nice hot bath :-)
