I have had better
Days that is.
It started off with an appointment at Dingwall Hospital, followed by a frantic phone call from Tom on the way back.
He'd lost Poppy, had searched everywhere and couldn't find her. How he had done that I couldn't understand as I had left them asleep in their beds.
So I rushed home instead of having a leisurely dogless stroll round the Ferry Point. When I arrived back who should hurtle down our neighbour's drive to greet me but Poppy. She had just gone visiting all the neighbours. Tom was very stressed, he really thought she had been stolen.
I then took them both out to Littleburn, to burn off a little energy! However it wasn't very pleasant as there seemed to be an obnoxious aroma following me everywhere, even into the car. Yes, it was Bud, the worst he has ever been. So straight into the bath he went, much to his disgust.
We are now off to a neighbour's for the evening, the very same neighbour who had been visited by Poppy earlier on in the day and whose cat food she had demolished.
The photos were taken on the way to Littleburn. Don't they look as though butter wouldn't melt.
Oh dear, I have just finished the day off really well. We went over the road, armed with our birthday card and bottle of wine, to help celebrate our neighbours birthday at his surprise party, only to discover it is tomorrow not today. As we walked up the drive I said, jokingly, to Tom, "it's very quiet, I hope I haven't got the wrong day."
I had, it was.
