ROSS by UNCLE ALAN, 1967

I came across a saved page from an autograph book I had as a child.
One evening I asked my uncle to sign my book & when I looked inside the next morning, I was thrilled with the picture he'd penned of Ross, his & Auntie's Scottie.

Uncle was as surprised when he opened his present from me today, to celebrate his 89th birthday.
I photographed the picture he did 50 years ago, & framed it for him.
His reaction surprised me:
'That's clever' he said.
'That could be Ross' said Auntie.
'It IS Ross' I said.
They were both a bit lost for words for a moment, while it sunk in.
I think Uncle was dead chuffed.
