Berlin #Day4

Our last day in the city, but a later flight meant there was still time to tick another couple of "must-sees" off the list.

First off, the Olympiastadion - the stark and powerful architecture given added emphasis by the weight of history and a sudden downpour.

Then on to KaDeWe. The clothes/shoes/bags/make up etc halls offered only a few brands not heard of before - that's the joy or otherwise of globalisation I suppose. However, the food hall on the 6th floor was quite something else. Simply stunning - definitely the best I've been to. Makes HN, Harrods & co look positively amateurish. Great coffee too! On the list for next time, with more time scheduled to explore it properly.

And there will be a next time - no question. Feels like we've only just scratched the surface of Berlin over these few days, but it has absolutely gotten under our skin in that way some cities do. I want to get to know it much, much better.
