4th Wedding Anniversary - Bridges

Back to where it all began for our 4th wedding anniversary. It technically isn't until the 14th June, but as I am going to be in Lake District and Steve in Berks, it was best that we celebrated in style at the weekend!

Sunday was great (writing this Monday evening) - a long lie, went to see a friend abseil, went out for lunch at the cupcake bar, then catching up with bits later on. It is never a holiday when we visit Scotland, there is always so much to do!

We got ready to go out for dinner just Steve and I. We went to Orocco Pier - where we got married. On the beach. In June. In Scotland!!!

A drink before hand, then we went through for dinner. A gorgeous table that looked out over to the Forth estuary with the two infamous Forth bridges, over quite a rough river Forth.

We had a really lovely meal, where we talked about the past 4 years being married and past 10 years being together. Was so lovely to reminisce and then talk about the future too.

It just so happened too, that my a very close friend was having dinner there too to celebrate a birthday - was great to see them too as they were part of our wedding party.

After dinner, we finished our drinks and sat in the new part of the hotel; a very modern setting with floor to ceiling windows that frame that perfect view. You could watch the world go by all day there.

A wander back to the car to change my boots into flats and grabbed the camera equipment. The light was perfect at this point and the whole bridge was lit up. This is the first time I have been back in Queensferry where the maintenance work wasn't going on.

The rail bridge looked incredible. It would be difficult not to take a good photo of it. I took a series of shots at different angles and viewpoints, but this is my favourite.

This is one of my favourite places in the world - it has the connection when I visit. My favourite place to celebrate my favourite day with my favourite person!
