The Cassowary in the Campsite

This bird is now an endangered species due to habitat destruction. It eats fruit and swallows stones to assist with its digestion. Today we watched it eating numerous wild figs, all swallowed whole ! The comb on he top is matted hair used for crashing through the rainforest when frightened , like the emu they don't fly.
