Government House
We travelled into the City today by train, walking between the old and the new buildings of Perth.
Government house is settled between high rise apartments, churches and skyscraper offices, The house dates back to the early 1800's, the 1st Governor was Captain James Stirling who founded the first colony.
The present governor is the 32nd Governor to take up residence in 2014.
The gardens are open to the public we took advantage and ate our lunch beside the water fountains at the bottom of the gardens, we sat in the sun listening to the lorikeets in the palm trees that were set around the pond, resident ducks ducking and diving in between the fountains, a very lovely day indeed...
