The Lonely Echinacea

There is a pink echinacea bloom that stands alone at the back of Gremlin's Meadow. I've been admiring it for the past week, and hoping to capture a photo of a butterfly visiting it.

The pink bloom looks so lonely standing there, but when I walked a little closer to take its photo, I realized the truth.

The bloom is surrounded by other, smaller, greener echinacea that are not yet ready to bloom. But they will soon; yes, very soon.

Stand strong, pink flower; you are not really alone after all!
