Photo Journey

Simply Carrots

I'm taking an online class in food photography and the first lesson, which is this week, is all about light. Direction, quality, quantity .... The idea is to shoot a subject with the camera at 90°, 135°, 180° to the key light, to use a reflector at various distances etc. and observe the different effects. I intended to take notes while shooting but soon found that to be very tedious. In the end I couldn't say with any certainty what I did to get what effect. But it certainly made me more observant of light and shadows.
