Walking with Smugglers

Today some friends and I did a walk entitled the "High Weald Challenge- Walk with Smugglers" in the footsteps of the notorious Hawkhurst Gang.  This is us (well not me, I took the picture) after about 13 miles beginning to look a bit weary.
The statistics of the walk :- we walked 17.2 miles ( it was advertised as 15) and I did 41,900 steps. I can honestly say this is further than I think I have ever walked in my life in one go.  My legs felt like jelly at the end but no blisters.  It was organised by the Long Distance Walkers Association:  this was one of their shorter walks. They were a friendly bunch and the many refreshment stops were most appreciated.
