Down to London today, I thought blipping opportunities would abound.
Buy the Olympic park is mostly a building site, both the walls I visited were full of children and my main meeting was confidential.
Still there was always the evening out - till in a moment of utter idiocy I discovered I'd made my hotel booking for the wrong day, and after an hour of trying couldn't book anywhere else (honestly I could rent an apartment for a month for some of the prices I was quoted). The Alpine Club offices weren't manned so that option wouldn't work, so in the end it was the long train ride of shame North and back again in the.morning. I guess I'm better in the mountains.
Worst part was messing a good friend about, felt like a total idiot really.
