Staring Competition

Woke up a lot earlier this morning and managed to get out of the flat before noon. Headed over to South Kensington go to the Natural History Museum for the Wildlife Photography of the Year and the Coral Seas exhibitions.
The wildlife one was very good and we agreed with the winner this year for a change. The coral seas one was very good but we knew quite a bit of it already. Still here is J nose to nose with a giant Perch, she lost the staring competition. Took the obligatory photo of Dippy. There is talk of replacing him with the Blue Whale, where is the petition for me to sign.
Met up the SF, N and AD for drinks before going to a Japanese restaurant. The restaurant is one where you order the meat and cook it yourself at the table. Great fun even if there was a bit of scorched arm hair by the end of it. Men, a hot grill in the table and Sake doesn’t mix.

Back to SF flat for a few more beers and an early night
