Antibiotics

Not feeling any better this morning, I called Mum's local surgery straight after breakfast.  I was amazed that, within an hour of calling the surgery, I'd been seen by the Nurse Practitioner, had my suspicions of a kidney infection confirmed, collected an antibiotic prescription and returned to Mum's to take the first of a short course of 6 tablets.  At £8.20 per NHS prescription, each tablet cost me about £1.36 - maybe I should have found some way of using the antiobiotic properties of the lavender in the garden as a cure for the infection instead!
