Letting Off Steam

In the early part of the morning the drivers bring their traction engines for a drive around the showfield and stop for a chat. Two of them are talking outside our marquee to Richard while Lynn puts longer pins in her wheel hub to improve the turning circle. (Or something like that!)

Lynn has built this engine from a kit and enjoys taking it to the shows with it;s wagons. It bears the name of her late brother, as a tribute to him. She's come all the way down from Inverness with it in a trailer.

I was having a long chat to her this evening, she has immense knowledge about all sorts of things and is, hopefully,adding to her Engineering degree with an Honors.

She dropped into conversation that she had a pilot's licence! We meet some great folks at this show but I didn't meet the actor who wandered round.
