Alone in the shallows

In Wellington for the second day of this month's meeting. It finished early enough for me to get out to Porirua in the daylight and have a run. When I got to the edge of the Porirua Harbour, I saw a spoonbill in the shallows, and was able to get close enough to get a few good photos, including this one. Shortly after it decided I was too close and flew away to join the gulls further out on the edge of the sandbank.
