Skipper Tom
16.0C starting with some cloud then some showers developed through the middle of the day, becoming warm. Light breeze.
Maeve the Deerhound was in her garden this morning. I brought her in when a heavy shower came on just about lunchtime..
I took Maeve for a walk after lunch. Just as we started off smir came on and stayed on. We went up to the church then continued out along the country road to Scryne. We turned right at Craigmill farm and went down the track to the shore road. I could see Shamara II out at sea. We came back along the cycle path and went down to the beach at Westhaven via the level crossing. The smir stopped.
Down on the beach the tide was fully in. Maeve had one or two little paddles as we walked along the beach but not for long as there were some little waves washing ashore. Valhalla A and two small boats were moored right in close to shore. As we passed the fishermen's huts and headed along to the car park Shamara II approached the outer end of the channel through the rocks. Skipper Tom took the dingy off its mooring and brought both boats in to moor beside the others in an offshoot of the channel through the rocks that gives some shelter when the wind gets up. For Wide Angle Wednesday on the theme of people.
We came up off the beach at the car park at Westhaven, came over the road bridge over the railway then carried on round in a long loop heading into Carnoustie and up the main road before turning along for home.
Maeve went back outside once we got home. The front lawn was drying but was probably still too wet to mow.
