The Lipstick, Gun Wharf Quays, Portsmouth

Lovely day today with two good friends. Down to Gun Wharf Quays in Portsmouth. Went up the Spinnaker Tower then retail therapy and lunch.

This is, apparently, the tallest residential building in Portsmouth. It's supposed to represent a ship's funnel but the locals call it the Lispstick

Extra blips are views from the Spinnaker Tower which is now sponsored by Emirates Airlines whose corporate colour is red and the tower was going to be painted red. But there was such an outcry as Portsmouth's colour is blue for the navy and the football club. Also their big south coast rival Southampton's colour is red. Anyway they relented and it is partly painted blue. The last extra blip is Ben Ainslie's headquarters for his America's Cup team
