Pea fields

They're now fully podded......The peas seem to be grown on a rotational basis.....last year this was rape, and it'll probably be wheat next year. These aren't the ones that are frozen.....

The frozen peas are generally grown in East Anglia and Lincolnshire. But the majority of the pea crop however is harvested with a conventional combine harvester, usually in August. These peas are cut when they are dry and are stored like any other cereal. The crop is sold and processed either for human consumption or for animal feed.
