Purple fields, Blue sky

Out house hunting today,  and saw one we both like ... has to be a good start ;-)

On a drive around we came across these purple fields near Henley in Arden.  At first sight I thought they might be lavender, but on getting closer they are clearly something else - any ideas on what very welcome!  On the way home there was someone else in the same gateway photographing the same view.

Stretching the point, but it's definitely wide angle, definitely Wednesday and there must be an animal somewhere in the view ;-)

Edit: we may have to go back and get a closer look at the plants .....
