We are staying with Sally's cousin Adam and his wife in their Italian hideaway(they live in Beijing) where they write their books (both successful novelists).
Adam said that the opening up of a pilgrim route across Italy was being celebrated with a mass walk on this third of the route. So we went along and ended up walking through a river, abseiling down small cliffs and scrambling over rocks. I ask you....who'd be a pilgrim.
