Behind bars

Yet another apartment building disappears behind bars. When we moved into our vila (mews), 40+ years ago, there was no gate and no gateman. Now we have both, with the gatehouse manned 24x7, and CCTV cameras, just like most of the buildings in the south zone of Rio. A sad state of affairs.
