Winter Waterfall At The Riwaka Resurgence

I have long wanted to get a picture of this but most of the time it is dry with the water trickling under the boulders.  Yesterday Blipmate suggested we have a look after yesterdays heavy rain. We went early, and it was bitterly cold there in the bush beside the river,  but the water was thundering in full force over the top of the rocks. No trickle this and amazingly noisy.

The extras are  first - a scene of the river further down and second - the light catching mist and the top of the hills on the way to the Resurgence.
