Big Drops

Well as you might guess I didn't manage to glimps the Olympic Torch this morning! I got J to work early and I was nearly where I wanted to be (Bucksburn Manor Round-about) to get a good shot of the Torch as they ran past at the top of our road. The plan was supposed to be that the relay would start from the BP offices in Dyce come along the A947, up onto Auchmill Rd then on to the Haudigan round-about before heading over Anderson Drive and on to Dundee.
HOWEVER after being stopped by the police at the main round-about in a brilliant spot at the front of the traffic i thought this would be a great shot so got my camera ready. Lots of police bikes and cars, support vehicles and busses/vans and the coke a cola truck went past. Then we were allowed to drive on much to my surprise. I came down Auchmill road a bit, still lots and lots of people and kids lining the street so I parked in at the shops and walked up. Eventually a Police woman got a message on her radio and told us that they had decided to transport the Torch on a BUS to the Haudigan Round-about and start the run from there!! I was not the only one who was disappointed I can assure you!!

So my blip for today is of raindrops in the grass after a heavy downpour earlier.
