Men At Work

Well, the day started early when the workmen arrived outside our house at 6.45am. The 'beep beep' of their van could be heard reversing into a space behind our hedge. Then, they sat in their van for an hour. Suitably rested, they vacated the van and tied a rope across the space where the fence had been removed yesterday. So exhausted by this activity they retreated to their van for a further forty five minutes. At this point the drillers arrived and started digging and pipe assembly.

The village looks like it could be oil rich however, it is preliminary work to ensure that the proposed flood defences will be viable.
