Bird's Eye View

This aerial view of the golf course is a new feature on the side of the clubhouse since Tuesday.

The fairways look a lot narrower when you're standing on the tee than they do from above. We certainly had plenty of trouble finding them today. Seemed an appropriate shot for the first day of the British Open.

Out tonight to a retirement do for a friend and colleague I taught with for over twenty years. She's been at the school for over 30 so I think she's going to feel very odd to be leaving tomorrow.
