End of the Track

Stratford is very similar to Hull in one respect and that is you either go there or leave there, it's not a place you can travel through, such as Birmingham or Stroud.
 
There was a through train at one time in Stratford; it used to run through the town on towards Long Marston and Honeybourne and eventually on to London.  There has been talk of reinstating the line for many years, mainly by railway enthusiasts, though recently an investigation by the major rail companies has been initiated to look at the feasibility.  Unfortunately this would run along the old route, currently used partly as walking and cycling tracks.  There is also a roundabout and part of the Stratford by-pass to contend with.
 
Anyway for the time being this photo shows the end of the line at Stratford.
