Oh bugger!

I heard what sounded like something hitting the roof of the car but I couldn't see any damage.

It later became all to apparent what had happened. When I went over a rough piece of ground the chip became a crack. A new windscreen added to the set of new tires that the truck needs makes for an expensive month.

Oh well.
