When the boat comes in

When you arrive at Colonsay it seems as if the whole community is there on the pier waiting for the boat to come in.

I remember it used to be like that in the southern part of the Western Isles when I lived there in the late 1970s and I have the fondest memories of being part of the shoreside crowd myself, from time to time.
