An evening in Eskifjörður

We went swimming in Egilsstaðir today, went on a short hike and then we drove with my in-laws to Eskifjörður in the afternoon.  My husband's brother Davíð and his girlfriend, Þórunn Gréta, had invited us all to dinner in their new home in Eskifjörður.  We had a great evening, chatting and sight-seeing.  Among other things we saw Helgustaðanámur (where the photo was taken) and Hvergilandið, a design exhibition in the local culture house (by the British curator Pete Collard and award winning visual artist Karna Sigurðardóttir, Þórunn Gréta's sister).
