Thunder

A couple of flashes of lightening and some cracks of thunder made Lili come onto my lap for an unusual cuddle :)

Training session attended this morning was very interesting, safeguarding best practice - domestic abuse. (Statistic alert ....)
1 in 4 women will be a victim in their lifetime (British crime survey 2005/06);
1 in 6 men will suffer domestic abuse in their lifetime (Home Office, 2095);
On average every 30 seconds someone contacts the Police for assistance with domestic abuse (HMIC, 2004).

Tonight I have joined a "round robin" group to make a sew-a-row quilt. Bit scared about taking part but excited at the same time. Something to keep me busy of an evening.
