Glasgow 1955 + 55

An exhibition on at Street Level Photoworks, 103 Trongate, Glasgow until 2 August 2015. A photographic project by Queen's Park Camera Club.

Back in 1955,  several Glasgow camera clubs set about recording life and the city.  By 2010, QPCC was the only surviving club of those involved in the first project.  They began recording the city 55 years on, comparing images and locations with some of the originals, and documenting life in Glasgow in 2010.  Perhaps in years to come, future photographers may update these again?  

Well worth a look, especially if you are planning to visit the Merchant City Festival over the next couple of weeks.
