It is interesting to spot beehives out and about. You'll see the stackable sections on top of the base.These are called 'supers' and the bees make the honey here. The supers are sized so that they can be carried when full of honey, which gets very heavy. The bees entrance to the hive is on the other side, at the bottom of the stack, where the early morning sun energizes the bees.
