MIDAS TOUCH
A few of these tiny bees (1/4" or 5mm) caught my eye because they looked like they'd been spray-painted gold. I've never seen any like it before. They resemble a winged ant so they fit the Carpenter Bee description, yet they're only half that size, and I didn't find any bee in the book of insects that was solid metallic gold.
