Light fantastic

I took this shot during a sunset drive on the Western Shores of Lake St Lucia with EuroZulu Tours. The sun had actually gone down about half an hour earlier so this light effect was caused by the reflection of the afterglow on one of the small pans. Other than a slight crop this is straight from the camera as is the extra shot which shows the same group of white-faced whistling ducks coming in to land as we passed the pan about half an hour before sunset.

My computer equipment had been stolen some weeks before  and I was forced to simply dump all my new photos onto an hard drive until I returned to England and got a new laptop. I rather ashamed to say that I had simply never looked at this days work until now but thanks to Blip I've found these and a selection of other shots that I rather like!
