Le Bois Plage en Re

It's been a long day on busy autoroutes which only quietened down once we were through Bordeaux and coming up the Atlantic coast. Here on Ile de Re, the first thing we noticed was how delightfully cool it is. After settling in to our hotel we wandered into the village to find somewhere to eat. It's Friday night of course and the best place to eat was full. We found somewhere else and made up for the lower quality food by drinking a lot more wine. We're in the quiter part of the island it would seem, so there's less choice unless we get in the car, which I didn't want to do tonight.

A good night's sleep is definitely needed so I'll catch up a bit tomorrow. Thanks for all you comments, stars and faves on my Pont d'Avignon blip yesterday. It heaved itself into the popular pages thanks to you lovely lot.
