Abandoned

Small Town America

This could have been one of a dozen small towns I went through today. With the companies computer telling me its lunch time, I stopped and took a walk.

Half the homes were abandoned or falling down. About a quarter of them didn't seem to be safely habitable and the rest were in fair condition at best. 

It took me 45 minutes to walk the whole town. I saw 5 people along the way and they waved or said hi to a complete stranger to them. Truly a hometown spirit. 

The first home was on main road going through town. The lot next to it was just the foundation left.
