Westport

We arrived safely in Westport in the afternoon. It had been a long journey with an early rise in the morning to get through to Aberdeen in time for our first flight to Manchester, a couple of hours at Manchester Airport then the second flight to Knock, where we picked up a hired car to drive the 40 miles or so to Westport. We had holidayed here before many years ago and it was great to take a stroll through this lovely town deemed the best place to live in Ireland, before the evening festivities began at Knockranny House hotel.
