Beetroot

A good session at the gym was rounded off by a welcome coffee afterwards. The early part of the afternoon was spent on the phone firstly to British Airways trying to arrange flights to California next Easter to visit Chris and De'Shaun. Successful in the end but it took over an hour and we had to pay the full cost upfront.

Then it was on the phone about work on the prison contract, then someone else rang about another job so there was a bit of chasing up to do with that. It was getting on for 4pm when I finally managed to get out in the garden to put up a couple of arched trellises on top of our fence. They'd come down in  the spring and it had taken some time to source replacements. That area is nearly complete, bit more fence painting and planting, perhaps tomorrow.

Just time after all that for a quick visit to the alloment to pull these beetroot for the traditional Friday night supper of omlette and salad, some potatoes, peas and courgettes and do a bit of watering.
