Another early blip as I'm playing for another ceilidh tonight, this time in Ellesmere with Band 1.

This is a page taken from a paperback found amongst Mum's things. It's called The Doctor's Cookery Book, price 4d and dated 1938. It has menus and recipes, some of which I remember her and my grandmother cooking. The treacle tart with twisted pastry and steamed fruit pudding brought back memories of the delicious puddings they used to make. I'll give a lot of them a miss though!
