A Real Windmill

Out for a longish walk this morning through the field of oil seed rape, which is at my head height, up through the wheat, across another field, an old railway line and a bit of woodland before dropping into the next village, where we stopped for coffee.

We were just in time to see a car saying "wide load" followed by a combine harvester, which mounted the pavement to pass two cars and crushed several cones in the process.  There was then a little bit of rage between the two farmers and the landowner who had been up a ladder working on his house extension.  Cones were slung into a garden and words were exchanged before it all resolved itself.  Meanwhile traffic was patiently backing up behind the combine.

No, I haven't thought of what I had forgotten to tell you.  It can't have been very exciting.

I took this picture on our way back home and one of you (sorry Chris), will say "oh not that b....dy windmill again".  Sorry, but some of my followers haven't seen it before.

The extra is of the combine trying to get through the village.
