Welcome to Banff!

This view greeted us as we rolled into Banff, and the conclusion of the 180 mile Icefields Parkway which began in Jasper three days' riding North. This scenic road route parallels the Continental Divide, and was a nice little shakedown for us, prior to starting the Great Divide Mountain Bike Route on Sunday. The GDR runs for 2700 miles south from Banff to the Mexican border. It crosses the continental divide 32 times, and is 95% off road....
