Now where did I put my keys?

Couldn't find my keys anywhere last night. Retraced my steps several times from the point of entering the house. Even rang B who is on holiday in Norway to get his ideas about where I may have put them. Eventually locked the door with a spare set. Up early this morning - opened the door - I'd left the keys outside in the lock!!
