Cherries...

Tom planted a cherry tree in our back yard a lot of years ago, figuring we'd have cherries to eat each year! However, the most it ever had in all this time was 1 tiny little shriveled up cherry--until this year. We just noticed that it has all kinds of cherries on it although I'm thinking the birds will eat them once they're ripe enough! I don't know if the tree has to mature before it produces them, or what was different this year, but it's really neat to see all the clusters of them! Tom's like a proud papa out there looking them over, so I took a picture of them "for posterity"! Ha! :)
