Mission Control

My volunteering duties at Longshaw were very different today, what with the opening of the new car park. Instead of wandering about  the estate and hanging around the visitor centre like a lost soul, , I had my own little HQ though which all the visitors using the car park were channelled. As well as providing visitors new to the Estate with information, I took feedback from regulars visiting for the first time since it had reopened. The verdict: "absolutely brilliant!"  For a start, you didn't have to put your wellies on before exiting your vehicle.
The one bit of the job I wasn't that keen on was making sure everyone was displaying either their membership sticker, or a pay and display ticket. For those who had neither, I had a polite little notice explaining that the money from car parking fees went towards the upkeep of the estate. Happily, I only needed to deploy 2 of these, and one of those turned out to be the car of the Head Ranger.
I was thinking that it would make a good venue for a Blipmeet, if anyone nearby is up for it....
