Getting lost is the only place worth going to
The real joy of Venice is just walking, wandering through the lanes and along the canals, past palaces and churches, over bridges and into squares.
We took a long, long walk on this day, covering the territory around the Accademia, the Scuola di San Rocco to see the amazing Tintoretto's, and back to Rialto.
In the evening, our last in city, we decided that "when in Venice..." was a good enough reason to sit on the Piazza San Marco, in the Café Lavena, enjoying a few glasses of wine, and the beautiful music.
We felt quite the thing and had great fun. Who needs to bring money home from a holiday? ;-)
