Shell decoration

I had the opportunity to go on a bus trip today to Glenveagh Castle & Gardens

We arrived, had a quick lunch, then we were bused to the castle for a tour. Photos are not allowed, but I mentioned to our guide how I was fascinated by the shell wall decorations, he said I could wait in the corridor, when all of our group went into the drawing room & take a few photos, this is one of them where periwinkle & mussel shells were used, along with the ever present hunting theme. Lots of information to absorb during the castle tour, about the owners & castle visitors

The only problem was too much was fitted in to the schedule, so not enough time to enjoy the magnificent gardens, barely 20 minutes, but a good reason to return on another occasion.
We headed to the next location, (we got delayed by a tractor run through Churchill, as there was a Fair Day on),

Newmills Corn & Flax Mill , another quick tour, 30 minutes, when they recommend 90 minutes (at least) to do it justice.
