Subdued but happier?

Well here is the man of the house, yep even hubby says so! Gave him a good grooming outdoors with his wonder brush today before the rain started, and boy a lot of fur came away. He must be malting, think it helped his coat, it seems more shiny again. His patches from surgery on paws and throat are slowly growing back. Bit slower than usual but it's getting there. I think he looks brighter but maybe I'm reading too much into it and hoping all is well. If only he would eat a little bit more.
