Santa Croce, Duomo & Opera

Santa Croce is the burial place of Michelangelo, Gallileo, Dante and many others. I'm still thinking through how art, literature and science have, throughout our history, challenged the church. And whilst in Santa Croce I came across the wonderful sight of a mother teaching her daughter to pray, which again, had me thinking about my role as an adviser for children, families & all things of faith.

Extra blips today show something of the wonderful sights we've seen. On our way home from the Marriage of Figaro (excellent at St Mark's, Figaro was wonderful & had the extraordinary talent of each eyebrow being completely independent from the other, and also independent of all other facial expressions - we really were close to the action), we passed by a Queen tribute band & an open air cinema showing a Japanese action thriller with Italian subtitles.

So it's been a day to remember. And think. And enjoy. And be thankful.
