Stardust

Edinburgh gallery-goers are an obedient bunch.

(Apart from the ones who take sneaky snaps).

They were out in force at Friday's star-studded opening of Bailey's exhibition, which has finally made it up north. The great man himself wasn't about, though we were assured he'd hung the exhibition personally (surely he has staff to do that? maybe he knocks up the frames himself too?). One review of the London show said its "ecstatically brainless glamorama provides glib entertainment for people who can't be bothered with real art".  I went back today for a longer look when the gallery wasn't so crowded, and I decided I rather like the exhibition. A bit of glamorama every now and then is quite OK.
